Coralville Lake

Coralville Lake | 20.2 Miles | 26 Minutes

Coralville Lake includes three campgrounds with over 500 campsites. The campsites are tent and RV friendly with hookups for water, sewer, and electricity. The campgrounds are located at Sandy Beach, Sugar Bottom and Dam Complex. You will find that Coralville Lake is the perfect spot for boating and water skiing. Boat ramps are available at West Overlook, Sugar Bottom Campgrounds, and Sandy Beach day use. There is a $3.00 daily boat launch fee for non-campers. Swimming beaches are available at Sugar Bottom and West Overlook for a $1.00/person or $4.00/car.

Kent Park

Kent Park | 8.97 Miles | 17 Minutes

Kent Park is three miles west of Tiffin on Highway 6 and is one of Iowa's finest county parks. Its 27-acre lake has catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, walleye and crappie perfect for long hours of fishing. Kent Park campground was voted the best place to camp and is known for its secluded campsites. Kent Park beach is open for swimming from 11:00 am-8:00 pm daily from the first Saturday after Memorial Day through Labor Day. If you enjoy hiking you have come to the right place. Kent Park offers nine and a half miles of beautiful hiking trails.

Lake MacBride

Lake MacBride | 20.16 Miles | 26 Minutes

Lake MacBride has two campgrounds: The modern campground in the Northern unit has 38 campsites with full hook-ups for all your RV needs. The non-modern campground in the Southern park unit has 56 campsites both featuring playgrounds nearby. Lake Macbride has a 5-mile scenic hiking trail located along the lake and is very popular for bicyclists. You will find the MacBride beach perfect for swimming on a hot summer day. For the angler's, Lake MacBride has an 812- acre artificial lake where you can catch channel catfish, walleyes, crappies, and muskie. And for the boaters, you can rent pontoons, motorboats, canoes, paddleboats, and kayaks near the beach.
